King’s Row Baltic Porter

A dark, lucious eastern European lager.

King’s Row is one of Colorado’s largest and most decorated caverns. It sits just above the Glenwood Canyon Brewing Company in the Glenwood Caverns Adventure Park. If you have a chance, go see the amazing rock formations inside this well preserved cave.

Baltic Porters share many of the same characteristics as the Brittish Imperial Stouts. In the 18th and 19th Century, the British exported stronger, darker beers to Scandanavia via the Baltic Sea in order to increase their exports. The countries of Estonia, Latvia, Poland and Russia not only welcomed these stronger beers, but adopted the brewing techniques and began producing them with lager yeast strains.

King’s Row Baltic Porter has huge malty, and dark fruit notes with big chocolate and subtle roasty notes. This beer is rich and finishes very smoothly from the use of our German lager yeast strain.

Prost!
