Started in 1982 by Charlie Papazin, the Great American Beer Festival (GABF) is the largest ticketed beer festival in the United States. The GABF is a three-day annual event hosted by the Brewers Association in Denver, Colorado and is usually held in mid to late September or early October. It brings visitors from around the world to sample thousands of different American craft beers.

World Beer Cup℠
Often referred to as “The Olympics of Beer Competitions,” the World Beer Cup is the most prestigious beer competition in the world. It was founded by Charlie Papazian and is organized by the Brewers Association, a trade group representing America’s small and independent craft brewers. It is held every two years in conjunction with the Craft Brewers Conference & BrewExpo America®. When judges determine that a category contains three excellent examples of the style, they present gold, silver and bronze awards.
